Transform Old Grumpy
This is a true story. A woman had Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in her yard as lawn ornaments. One morning she found that Grumpy was missing. A thorough search in the neighborhood, and many questions were unsuccessful. Grumpy had vanished.
A few weeks later, he suddenly reappeared in his usual spot, painted the same grump the expression on his face cast. But to him it was taped a photo album. One picture showed Grumpy before the Big Ben in London. Another showed himGrumbling in front of the Eiffel Tower. Picture after picture documented his journey around the world. Maybe the joker hoped that a free-world would cheer up a tour of the little guy. But it was not good at all. He went as sour as he went.
Is not it amazing that God is so patient with us? He invested a lot in us, showing us his miracles, teaches us in his ways. Through all this we have to remain unchanged, untouched, untouched?
What does it mean from the hikeSpirit and be led by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16,18)? Is it not imply an opinion on what God wants to do with us and in us? Is not it do involve at least a part of our readiness for what we can work together?
I'm not talking about the subjective "leading" with little more than to stumble blindly for impulses and impressions is. I mean the Big Stuff: Developing discernment between right and wrong, and spiritual muscles, such as Jesus, even in a hostile environment. The Spirit'sThe objective is to us corresponds to the character and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.
As we continue in God's world tour of life, let's soften and de-grumpify. God wants us to turn it to the end, and not only undiminished, but from the journey.
