Airlines will quote you fares and book your flights, but thats as far as they go. A travel agency can offer discounted fares, advice on spring break destinations, and may have a great deal or two for you and your friends. Spring break is barely two months away, so now is the ideal time to start looking for a travel agency.

Travel agencies go beyond just finding plane tickets or booking a cruise. They often serve as the middle person between a traveler and the various services and destinations. It is a myth that booking through an agent will cost more. Travel agencies get their commissions from the various cruise lines, vacation packages, and airlines, not from the customer. This fact can actually save you money.

PostHeaderIcon Getting Great Deals Through Your Travel Agency

We could all use a break from the monotony of our jobs and the humdrum of domestic chores, and the first thing that comes to mind is often a vacation. As many health experts say, taking a vacation every now and then is indispensable to good health.

The next thing we do is look for great travel deals through a travel agency. This is important because if taking a vacation means emptying out our wallets and bank accounts, what good can that do to our financial health? In dire economic times, topmost in our minds is to get the best deals, which are typically possible only from travel agencies.

There are several different ways that you can plan a trip. Many people like to go it alone, making their own reservations, doing their own working, and hoping that they stumble onto the best deals. Sometimes, people don't even do any planning, they just go ahead and take the trip, and fly by the seat of their pants. In both of these types of trip taking, you might end up with some good deals. But, more often than not, you are going to end up paying much more for your trip, and maybe experiencing a little more stress than you really need. Planning your trip on your own can be stressful and time consuming, and it can also end up costing you much more money than you thought it would.

PostHeaderIcon 25 In St. Martin

Sometimes a split personality isnt necessarily a bad thing. In the case of St. Martin, the schizophrenia can be crazy, but hey, crazy can be good. Sint Maarten/Saint Martin is the smallest island in the world that is governed by dual sovereign states, divided nearly equally between France and the Netherlands. While certainly Caribbean, the old world character traits have remained uniquely preserved. The French side is laid back, but intense about fine cuisine while the Dutch side is fun-loving and focused on nightlife. Its like a miniature tour of northern Europe. Add the numerous other little islands so close that you can see everyday life on them and its an inspiring place for a GyspyNester. We were literally itching with the exploration bug. But exploring the neighboring isles would have to wait for another time. This visit was a celebration of just 25 hours. One for each year of our marriage.
